EMBRACE YOUR GAYTHENTICITY!

Authentic living will transform your life, as a gay man.

Maybe you already have your own unique way of expressing yourself in the world - but are there times when you hide the ‘real’ you?

It’s my life mission to support gay men, like yourself, to come out of the closet -with family, at work and in public. If we are going to build authentic, fulfilling and successful lives we have to be prepared to embrace our vulnerability and be noticed for who we really are.

LGBTQ IS NOT A LABEL IT’S A WAY OF LIFE

Remember the mask that was your identity in the world, it prevents us having authentic relationships where we feel valued for who we are. Approval is a poor substitute for authentic relating. When we choose approval over authenticity, we suppress part of who we are. This creates a physical and creative energy drain. This vital energy can prevent us reaching our full potential.

Authenticity is also a crucial component of trust. As Stephen Covey (The Speed of Trust) so succinctly put it,

“Trust is equal parts character and competence...’

The fact that you are interested in authenticity, suggests to me you have the character. It is my mission to help you build greater competence. The skills which enable you to be both responsible for your life path, and confident enough to make it ‘real,’ may seem challenging, at first.

Here are some of my clients most pressing issues.

  • ‘coming out’ what to say- and how to say it

  • presenting your authentic self in the workplace

  • expressing yourself and being valued in relationships

You need strategies to solve these issues successfully. This is why a skilled coach can be an important support.

As a highly skilled coach and experienced public speaker, I can work with you to frame your message with integrity and influence. This is so empowering. It will raise your expectations of what is possible, and actually lead to less stress, more genuine relationships, increased productivity, and improved leadership skills at work.

The pen is mightier than the sword - but the voice holds more power than both.

I understand because…

As a gay boy, growing up in my little town where LGBTQ wasn’t even recognized, I felt very isolated and lonely. For years I felt that I was the only ‘gay’ in the world.

This all changed after moving to Rome, then Milan, to study business, at the age of 18, I involved myself in the clubbing scene. However, I soon learned that gay men do not always support each other with quality connections. For many gay men sex is a temporary ‘quick fix’ feeling vulnerable and rejected. They fear being alone. But…

Isolation does not create feelings of loneliness. Disconnection does.

As a LGBTQ person, perhaps you too have spent too long in intimately relationships that hurt rather than heal. Having been through a traumatic break-up and breakdown, I moved to London to start again. But London left me feeling lonelier than ever.

As they say, it is often darkest before the dawn. It was for me. After being so low I thought of ending my life, I had a ‘wake up call.’ I realized if I was ever going to be happy, I had to live authentically. I had to build authentic relationships where I was free to be me. I had to stop people pleasing, in the hope of being accepted.

I began to write my autobiography Free to be Me. It helped me think about who I really was, and what I really wanted. I decided to go to Switzerland and train as a coach to help others who were struggling, as I struggled. I joined public speaking club where I spoke about the importance of authenticity.

In a year I had built a successful career in coaching and public speaking. In coaching people with LGBTQ issues and speaking publicaly about the issues we face, courageous people come to learn on how to deal with them.

Courageous gay men came to me to learn how to move out from behind the mask, into an authentic limelight. Together we are working to develop a more authentic LGBTQ world.
